What Is Meant By Lahan In Tajweed ?

What Is Meant By Lahan In Tajweed ?
What is Lahan?

Types of Lahan (Mistake) In Tajweed

There are two types of Lahn In Tajweed (Mistake) Lahan Jali & Lahan Khafi.

  1. Lahn Jali (thick and prominent error)
  2. Lahan Khafi (subtle and modest)

Lahn Jali” A clear and obvious error is called “Lahan Jali“.

Some Examples of Lahan Jali are listed here.

  1. Reading another letter (الہمد) in place of a letter (الحمد), like reading Al-Hamd(الہمد) instead of Al-Hamd (الحمد)
  2. Extending a letter like reading Alhamdulillahالحمدللہ as Alhamdulillahi الحمدوللہ
  3. Dropping a letter, such as wal lim yold
  4. Making Mistakes of Harakat & Sakanat

These four types have been described, and if there is any mistake in them it will be Lanhan jali” And the command of “Lanhan jali” is also being explained. And “Lahan Khafi’s” statement is coming forward.

Most of us do not know what is meant by Lahan (error) in Tajweed. but we must know that mistakes (Lahan Jali & Lahan Khafi) in Tajweed change the meaning of the Holy Quran, if we read the Holy Qur’an wrongly and make mistakes in Tajweed, so what will be the benefit instead of it will be a sin.

The Command Of Lahan Jali

This mistake is forbidden and the order of Lahan Jli is forbidden (Haram). In some places due to changing its meaning the prayer also becomes invalid, That is why we should learn tajweed and avoid Lahan jali .

Lahan Khafi

Lahan Khafi refers to small and minor mistakes. This does not change the meaning but the beauty of the recitation is lost ,For example reciting (raa) thinly instead of thickly in the form of zabur (Fatha) or not paying ghana etc this is called Lahan Khafi, This destroys the beauty of the Holy Quran.

The command of Lahan Khafi

Reciting the Holy Qur’an with a “Lahan khafi” is makruh not forbidden so it must be avoided .

Why Is The Important To Learn Tajweed

Learn Tajweed

Why Is This Important?

One of the blessings bestowed by Allah Almighty is that which is not a creation of Allah Almighty. But is His great word which He revealed to His last Messenger Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ‎ to guide his servants? YES, but only for his own pleasure. It is obligatory upon us not only to learn to recite the Qur’an al-Hakim correctly. that’s Why Important To Learn Tajweed but also to be guided by the scholars in order to give thanks for this great blessing of our Allah  جل جلاله . Contemplate this notion as you strive to be able to spread the light in all areas of your life.

The Purpose Of Man’s Coming To This World

The purpose of man’s coming to this world is to fulfill the commands of Allah  جل جلاله in the blessed way of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ‎. The whole Qur’an is full of the commands of Allah  جل جلاله. If we want to learn Urdu or any other languages, we have to learn its *rules and regulations* so why do we forget its rules and regulations in order to read The Holy Quran? We should read Tajweed We must know this Why Is The Important To Learn Tajweed

What is Tajweed?

The knowledge that is taught to read The Holy Qur’an correctly is called I,lm-e-Tajweed. Learning it and reciting The Holy Qur’an according to its principles is necessary, because Sometimes mistakes are made which change the meaning, And sometimes the word kufr comes out of the mouth, And if such a mistake is made while praying then the prayer is broken that’s why Important To Learn Tajweed.

For example:

In “Surrah Al-Fatiha” I (Para 1) Alhamdulillah, the Lord of the worlds.(الحمدللہ رب العالمین) instead of Alhamdu. (الحمد) instead of Alhamdu,(الہمد) or Alkhamdu(الخمد), praising Allah  جل جلاله, they become bad meanings .

Example 2 :

In The Same Way

In Anamat Alayhim (انعمتَ علیھم) instead of Anamata (انعمتَِ) reciting Anamati (انعمتِ) or Anamatu (انعمتُ) because the meaning becomes wrong,

Section (صیغہ انعمتِ) The female is for the addressee,

Section (صیغہ انعمتُ) you are for the speaker.

Example : 3

In Surah Al-Kafroon“(Para 30), instead of lengthening Laa ‘Abdu’d (لَآ اَعْبُدُ) reciting. Reciting it short that is, by recite La’a’abud (لَاَ اَعْبُدُ) the meaning becomes that.O disbelievers the (idols) that you worship I also worship them idols (Mu’azullah.

Example : 4

in the same way

In Surrah Al-Nasar” Praying Nasrullah , (نصرُاللہ ) instead of Nasrullah ( نسراللہ) spoils the prayer because Nasr ullah (نصرُاللہ) means help and Nasr ullah (نسراللہ) means donkey, By reading like this incorrectly, the reciter does not get the pleasure and nearness to his recitation that,s Why Is The Important To Learn Tajweed.

Allah  جل جلاله likes that the Qur’an should be recited in the way it was revealed

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, It is the command of Allaah that if a servant is so busy in reciting the Holy Quran, that he does not get a chance to ask Me for supplication, then I will give him more than the beggars without asking.
